WHO WE ARE
WVU Medicine physiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation and treat patients with orthopaedic or neurological issues that affect movement of the body. Your physiatrist will help manage any medical issues you may experience throughout your course of physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy. Our goal is to help you restore function and resume daily activities from a disability, disease, disorder, or injury you’re facing.
We work with your physical, occupational, and speech therapists to coordinate care, monitor progress, and make any adjustments to your treatment plan as needed.
